Onto what I ate today:

Breakfast 9:04am

I had my usual breakfast of 1/2 a cup of sprouted oats, 1 and 1/4 cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, raisins, a medjool date, cinnamon and a black coffee. About 30 minutes prior to this I also had another black coffee and when I did my workout at 5:30am I drank a whole 900ml bottle of water! Some people have asked me whether I get hungry for breakfast at that time of the morning and the honest answer is no, not at all! My tummy doesn't start rumbling until about 8/8:30am.

Snack 11am

At about 11 o'clock I had a snack of a banana and some walnuts. Walnuts are my favourite - I also love pecans, almonds and Brazil nuts!

Lunch 1:34pm

For lunch I had a wholewheat flatbread (wrap) with 1/2 an avocado and 2 hardboiled eggs mashed up with some Himalayan pink salt & black pepper. On the side I had some chopped tomatoes, cucumber and balsamic vinegar on a bed of rocket. I also drank another 900ml bottle of water.

Afternoon Snack 4:09pm

After the school run I had a much-deserved frothy almond milk latte (third coffee of the day!) with one of my homemade Easter chocolate chip cookies. These are my weakness...I made them with mini-eggs for Easter and they never last very long in our house! You can get to the recipe I use here, although I omit the peppermint bark and just add whatever other seasonal treats I want! In this case it was mini-eggs.

Dinner 5:31pm

For dinner we had Risotto Verde from Rachel Allen's Favourite Food at Home cookbook. This is a recipe I make time and time again for our family and was one of the first things I cooked for my dad when I was a teenager! I found the recipe online here. With my dinner I drank another 900ml bottle of water and then before bed I took my multivitamin & fish oil. I take Pregnacare Breastfeeding as well as vitamin D drops but I normally take the drops whenever I remember to throughout the day...I leave the bottle out on the kitchen table as I give them to Andrea & Alessia too.

Summer Term

It's finally getting nice enough to go outside without a big heavy coat and boots so I am embracing all of the lighter spring colours and fashion! I recently picked up these pretty nude Iris & Ink espadrilles which are SO comfortable and easy to wear. I love nude shoes with a skinny white jean. The jeans are from J.Brand and the shirt is...a surprise ;) I can't actually tell you where it's from yet but just know that it is part of an exciting project I've been working on for months & months!

At the time of taking these photos I still had my Easter decor up, you can kind of see my Easter wreath peeking out from behind me! That's all put away now and as much as I'm always a bit sad to see the spring decorations go, it was also nice for our house to get a bit of a refresh!

I hope you're all enjoying the beginning of summer term, especially if you have little ones at school...I can't believe we're already here! As Andrea is 8 months old now and therefore a lot less reliant on me for breastfeeding I have been doing the after-school pickups and am loving it. It sounds a bit sad but I really missed doing the school runs since having the two babies. It makes me feel more connected to the older two, and I love our little car chats every afternoon before the chaos of having to juggle all four of them when we get back home ensues!

Eduardo's Frozen Party

Welcome to Eduardo's Frozen Party! Unlike Alessia's party, we were not so blessed with the weather. So the temperature dropped and although we were glad it remained dry, some of us were well & truly "frozen"! I actually had to keep Andrea indoors for most of the afternoon as he already had a cold and it was just too nippy for a small baby! But the other children threw their coats on and loved it...I think children forget about the cold so long as they're having fun!

Eduardo has been totally in love with Frozen ever since he was a toddler so it's no surprise that he wanted a recreation of Emilia's 4th birthday party! Regardless of the cold weather, we were so happy to be able to host this at our home and I think it made the day even more special. The first photos that you see above are of Eduardo's initial reaction to meeting Elsa & Anna as they walked up the steps of our garden. He was so excited!

Eduardo chose to invite his class from school to his party, along with two other girls from different classes that he is also friends with. It was a totally different vibe to Alessia's party but I was really pleased that it gave me the opportunity to get to know more parents from his form group. I haven't been the best at socialising since I had Alessia & Andrea and unfortunately this change happened around the same time that Eduardo started school. So I feel like I made a better effort with getting to know Emilia's year (as she started pre-babies) whereas when it comes to Eduardo's I'm totally clueless. Added to this is the fact that Eduardo's friend group is primarily made up of girls...so I did know a few of the girls' mums but not enough of the boys'!

These guys styled the event, brought all of the props & games, provided the goody bags, the children's food, adult food, balloons, decorations and made everything look beautiful. They also organised the children's entertainment which included a visit from Elsa & Anna. They were amazing at keeping everything running seamlessly!

Tent/Teepee - Stunning Tents (gifted)

When I heard we were getting a teepee for the back garden, I didn't realise it was going to be as epic as this one! I had sort of envisaged a normal sized children's teepee like the one Alessia had at her puppy party or the ones the kids have in their bedrooms...so when the crew came to assemble it a few days beforehand I was pretty shocked to say the least! Hahaha! It looked amazing and definitely helped to keep the cold breeze out.

How incredible was Eduardo's Frozen cake?! I am so in awe of how professional bakers can create this kind of beauty...and get it to taste good too! I'm not a huge chocolate cake fan but I had absolutely no problem devouring this! The cake pops are my personal favourites though...as these kind come with triple the frosting!

I think you can all see from the photos here how excited and on top of the world Eduardo was. We also got some beautiful shots of the girls and although Andrea didn't feature for most of the party we even got a few of him!

What I Ate Wednesday {17.4.19}

What I Ate Wednesdays are back...with a twist! I've listened to your feedback and from what I can see you all miss the food posts of what I eat in a day but you also enjoy the outfits of the day, so I decided to combine the two into one. Groundbreaking stuff, am I right?! Hahaha...but seriously I can understand where you're all coming from and I get it. Although I do post WIAWs on Instastories, it's also nice to have something a little more permanent.

So here's what I ate today as well as my outfit. It finally heated up just enough so I could wear this blouse which was a pretty recent purchase from Warehouse. I also got this pair of white jeans which I bought in my regular size, but it's not my regular jeans brand (I almost always go for 7 for All Mankind, these are JBrand). I'm assuming JBrand runs a bit larger because as soon as I tried them on they were big. I was too scared to exchange them for a smaller size because I didn't want them to be too tight but now that I've worn them quite a few times I realise that unless I puuullll them all the way up so they're in the right position (like in these photos) they eventually end up somewhere around my ankles. Okay, slight exaggeration but they are falling off me and don't look the most flattering! I like jeans to be pretty tight without being uncomfortable if you know what I mean! The shoes were a splurge and are from D&G...kind of like a pre-holiday present to myself if you will! We are going away for next half term and I wanted some cute espadrilles for walking around in that weren't the usual basic nude/brown that I normally go for. I love the colour of these!

Breakfast 8:30am

Onto what I ate during the day; breakfast was no different than probably the last time I posted a What I Ate Wednesday! I'm sorry I'm so boring but this is just my absolute favourite breakfast! If you don't already know, it's 1/2 a cup of sprouted oats, 1 and 1/4 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, cinnamon, raisins and a medjool date cooked on the hob. I also had 1 cup of black coffee and a few hours before this I drank a 900ml bottle of water with my workout.

Morning Snack 10:30am

I've been on a bit of a Greek yogurt kick lately. For my mid-morning snack I had a bowl of red grapes and some natural Greek yogurt.

Lunch 1pm

For lunch I was craving a melted cheese sandwich. I normally have something with eggs or avocado but I hadn't had a proper cheese sandwich since I made them for my mum and me last time she was over. I use two slices of organic seeded bread, drizzle both of them in olive oil (the outside), then I spread one half with sticky pickle, cover in grated cheddar cheese and toast in a sandwich press. The olive oil makes it crispy and delicious! Then I added some mixed leaves & baby spinach, beetroot and pickled gherkins along with another 900ml bottle of water.

Afternoon Snack 3pm

After Eduardo's birthday we have so many baked goods in the house...in fact it's been this way since Alessia's birthday two weeks ago! Just as we got through all of hers, we had a ton left over from Eduardo's Frozen party so I am dutifully making my way through all of the cake, cupcakes and cake pops! Today was a slice of his birthday cake which was absolutely delicious and I'm not even that much of a chocolate fan! I had this massive slice with an almond milk latte.

Dinner 5:45pm

For dinner I made turkey chilli casserole with turkey mince, kidney beans, chopped tomatoes, white wine, ground cumin, coriander, mango chutney, smoked paprika & tomato paste. We had it with basmati rice and some cheddar cheese on top. Jonathan loves chilli and he thought this was the best one yet! I also drank another 900ml bottle of water (I aim for three a day).

Alessia's Puppy Party

Welcome to Alessia's Puppy Party! Where puppies are more than welcome and grumpy faces are optional.

On the 30th of March, Alessia turned 2 and to celebrate we threw her a puppy themed birthday party given her love of dogs (real and pretend). Alessia is not really a people person and has never been one to pose for photos but even so the photographer managed to snap some beautiful shots of her...my personal favourites are the ones where she's interacting with the real doggies at the party!

Thankfully we were blessed with uncharacteristically bright & sunny weather that day, so we were able to bring the party outside. I can honestly say that since we moved house this day was the most "at home" I've felt. I'm really starting to settle into our home and the more family birthdays and events like these that we put on, the more it feels like it belongs to us.

Poor Andrea was suffering with conjunctivitis that particular day, so he doesn't look the best but we still got a few lovely photos of him as well. I hope you've enjoyed these pictures from Alessia's special day! There were two many to share on Instagram so I decided to put them all in a blog post.

The cake and baked goods had to be my absolute favourite thing about this party. I think I ate a slice of birthday cake or a cake pop every single day for about a week after. The cake looked and tasted incredible, plus the inside of the icing was coated in white chocolate! I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. There was even a deliciously sweet cookie creation involving white chocolate covered Oreos...YUM!

Catering - The Curated Kitchen

This is a local company I've used for many of our children's birthday parties before which has recently moved on from just afternoon tea to all kinds of catering. Dani is super talented at both providing amazing tasting food and also styling/dressing her work so that everything looks as beautiful as it tastes.

Making A Few Changes

Yesterday Jonathan & I had a big discussion about a few things that have been playing on my mind lately and we ended up reaching a decision about the direction of my YouTube channel that I feel the need to share with you guys. Over the last ten years I've been making videos, uploading blog posts and creating online content and although I do love it and feel passionate about that part of my job, there have also been many changes in my personal life along the way which have a direct impact on how often I post or what I put out there. The major change being that I am now a mama of four little ones and I put that first, before anything else in my life. That will always take highest priority no matter what and although I have always tried my hardest to keep a good balance between career and being a mum, at the moment I feel like the balance is just off and I think I've stretched myself too thin. :(

The baby/toddler and younger years of our children's lives are some of the most special and important...and I don't want to waste them being stressed out because I'm spending any ounce of free time that I have in front of a computer screen, editing, uploading or filming. I think lately I have got myself into a bit of a perfectionistic mess where I'm working harder than ever before and as a result, I'm not enjoying any of the time that I have with my children because I'm constantly worrying about the endless to-do lists of tasks I need to get done. It was a struggle to even admit this because part of me doesn't want to let go of everything I'm doing but I know that something's got to give. And I don't want my children to remember me as "stressed Mummy" or "cross Mummy"!

So I've decided that my YouTube channel will be on a bit of a break for the moment. I know some people won't be happy with it (I still get those few commenters that ask "what do you actually DO all day?!" hahaha!) but I assure you that I'm not going anywhere. In fact, the energy that I have been putting into my channel will now go more onto our family channel, my Instagram (which I post on daily anyway!) and here on my blog :) I just don't think that posting three times a week on YouTube is possible for me right now and although I stuck to my goal of doing just that for the month of January, if I'm completely honest it almost killed me.

I really believe that life is constantly changing and made up of different seasons. Some of the things we do work well for that particular season...and when they don't it's important to re-assess and change it up to ensure that balance is restored again. There is no point in being unhappy...life is too short for that! So no matter what you're going through, if something isn't working for you don't be afraid to make a change. It can feel uncomfortable and even scary but if it means you feel happier or like a weight has been lifted and that you can breathe again.

I hope you will understand my decision and I thank all of you who have already reached out on Instastories with your support. I honestly appreciate it so much, I am so thankful to have each & every one of you in my life and it's not something I ever take for granted! <3

We're Not Perfect

I feel like yesterday's video was a bit of a couples' therapy session! I don't think either of us expected it to go that deep but I'm really glad it happened and you guys got to see some raw & real emotions. Through everything that has happened, four children and six dogs later Jonathan still remains my best friend and I could not do any of what I do without him. Raising a family is hard work, building a business is too...but it's important to make time for the person you set out to do all of it with in the first place because you are the foundation of everything. That's how I feel about Jonathan...and I hope to always be able to prioritise our relationship because without it we have nothing!

Daily Baby Routine! | 5 Month Old

One of my most popular video requests is to show more of my routines...daily routine, skincare routine, makeup routine, night/morning routine and baby routines! So I've decided to start sharing a bit more of those. Today I'm sharing Andrea's baby routine, or a day in his life from when he gets up in the morning to when he goes to sleep at night. The only thing I left out was his dream feed at 9pm because I do that in the pitch dark! So there was no way I could film. Of course please also keep in mind that not every single day is the same and things do crop up or vary depending on the day but in general this is what his routine looks like at 5 months old.

7 Minute Workout Routine!

These pictures were taken in the freezing cold...but because today's video is a my updated workout routine, I don't have a traditional outfit to show you guys. Instead, here is my workout look courtesy of Lululemon. My workouts are simple, short and require no equipment. You can do them at home (I normally do them early in the morning when everyone else is asleep in my underwear, lol!) and they only take 7 minutes! Although I repeat the workout twice more...so my routine is about 20 minutes. But this is still doable, even if you're a busy mum or have a hectic schedule. If this workout is not for you, I encourage you to check out Lucy's channel for more incredibly effective HIIT workouts. She has loads of them on there and they're all free!

What I Ate Wednesday {16.1.19}

As we get used to our new home, I've been playing around with different backdrops for my blog pictures. This was my first time taking photos outside the front which started out as an effort to avoid the rain as this was a particularly wet & gloomy day! But because of our outside lights and the colours we painted our front door & posts (they used to all be a dark brown) I actually really like how this looks! We also changed the tiles and had the entire front of the house re-pointed (basically cleaned up the red brick and brought it back to its former glory). It's an Edwardian house so there is still plenty of work to be done! But we are getting there...slowly, haha!

Andrea's 5 Month Update

Look at this big boy! He puts a smile on my face everyday :) This happened just minutes after I had filmed his update. He's not quite sitting up on his own, more like leaning on his hands! I remember Emilia doing this at the same age...it's so cute!

I honestly feel like this is such a basic outfit of mine...and one I gravitate towards often! I probably own about 5 cream jumpers similar to this one and I can't count how many pairs of khaki jeans/trousers I've gone through over the years! Paired with some brown boots and this will work in the autumn, winter and early spring so I wear a variation of this a lot!

Also I noticed I do the arm holding pose quite a bit...I mean it's in every.single. outfit post...which is kind of embarrassing! I need to come up with a different pose, hahaha! Seriously though, what is that about?!

This is actually a completely recycled outfit from 2016, minus the boots which I did change but it's otherwise the same! I later realised that the Valentino boots do not work well on these slate pebbles...you'll see what I mean in a future post! Today's What I Ate Wednesday is brought to you by a sleep deprived mama...we had been going through some sleep issues with Andrea as he has been teething a lot lately. It's still hit or miss and some nights are better than others (thankfully last night was good!). But there are definitely days where I feel like a walking zombie. Coffee & concealer are my friends!!

Why Dieting Doesn't Work

I absolutely love this jumper my mum gave me for Christmas! We got it on sale from Whistles while shopping together when we visited Ireland in December and I love how well it goes with these trousers! They are super old (I've had them since before babies) and one of the belt loops has ripped but I still love them and was really happy when I found them in a random box after we moved!

Today's video deals with a topic I'm particularly passionate about and I really wish I had stumbled across something like this when I was a teenager as I know it could have saved me from years of silly behaviours & abusing my body. I hope I can help at least one person with the information I've shared. I truly believe that diets are horrible and can cause so many problems further down the road!

Here are my 5 tips to crush your goals in 2019! (See video below). And this is what I wore in the video...minus the scarf! It was freezing outside and I love the greens together so I broke out this scarf which I got for Christmas two years ago. I have been really loving this jumper from Oliver Bonas that I picked up on a total whim a few weeks ago...I actually never even realised they did clothing and was nearly not going to get it as I already have a green jumper that is very similar. But I'm so glad I did! It's so soft, the colour is in between a turquoise and a green and I'm completely in love with this style of blouson sleeves!

What I Ate Wednesday {2.1.19}

Ahh...Alessia. Never have I met such a beautiful baby girl who just refuses to take a good picture! Ever since she was a tiny baby she just would not cooperate...whereas Emilia was always so photogenic and just lit up for the camera! The best photos I have of Alessia are ones when she doesn't know her picture is being taken, hahaha! You have to really trick her to get a good shot because the second you say "smile!" or "say cheese!" she pulls a pouty face or rams her thumb into her mouth. Little diva ;)

We did manage to get maybe one or two good ones here...but she was more interested in running away and playing with her toy tractor. LOL! I just wanted to get some shots of our matching ruffle jumpers which wasn't even an intentional match as they were bought at completely different times from different shops.

Andrea's 4 Month Update

Postpartum Workout #3

Here is the last video in our Postpartum Workout Series! This one is quite a bit more challenging than #1 and #2 so I definitely recommend easing your way into it if you are a beginner! Having said that if you are not postpartum and just wanting a new 7 minute effective HIIT workout routine this one could also be for you! Anyone can do it, whether you are post baby or not...what's important to note is that it is safe for new mums.

And no I don't normally do my workouts outside in the freezing cold...barefoot, hahaha! These just made for some good pictures ;) Here are some of the moves from the workout Lucy gave me! It lasts 7 minutes, you do each move for 1 minute and I typically repeat the workout another 2 times which gives me a pretty intense 21 minute routine.

What I Ate Wednesday {5.12.18}

Breakfast (8:30pm)

This What I Ate was filmed during probably one of the most stressful days ever...it was the day after we moved! So many things went wrong, we were insanely busy with work (I had to go to Manchester the following day at 6am), I was breastfeeding a three month old, trying to get two children ready for school etc. etc. you know the drill! But I'm really glad I documented it because it's actually really interesting to look back on. I somehow even managed to get in my morning workout at 6am (here's the workout I did, bear in mind this was a month ago so it has since changed!) and used a coat as my "yoga mat", hahaha! Anyway by the time I finally got around to making some breakfast, it was an instant porridge packet I found made with almond milk, a date, blueberries and cinnamon along with a black coffee. Not bad, considering I could barely source any utensils...although the instant porridge ended up doubling in size (I didn't know this and used two packets) so I think I basically had two portions. Oops!

I also had already drunk a 900ml bottle of water with my workout.

Snack (11:40am)

That morning we had to go to the school nativity, so I ate a snack later in the morning and grabbed a 1/4 cup of dried fruit & nuts Wellness Mix by Noberasco (sorry, forgot to get a pic of this!).

Lunch (1:40pm)

For lunch I made a quick ham, cheese & pickle toasted wrap. I use organic ham, cheddar cheese, Stoke's sticky pickle and the wraps are wholeblend flat breads from Crosta & Mollica. I also re-filled my water bottle for the 2nd time!

Dinner (5:30pm)

We unpacked boxes all day long, so by the time dinner rolled around I was starving. Also our oven wasn't working at the time as the electrics hadn't been set up in the house properly yet so we got a takeaway Wagamama's! I got the Yaki Udon which is my absolute favourite dish, it's got prawns, squid & chicken in there along with lots of veggies & yummy udon noodles!

Dessert (8:35pm)

Later that evening our hairdresser Alex came round to do my hair for the Benefit event the next day and I made us both hot chocolates (I use whole milk & Green and Blacks hot choc) and also had two Frosty Fancies. I also refilled my water bottle for the 3rd time...and that was it for the day!

2019 Goal Setting! | New Year's Resolutions

I'm back! Did you miss me? I really missed blogging and I'm so happy to be bringing the blog back in 2019! It's one of my goals for the month...check out my video below to hear more on what I have to say about that!

Since my last blog post some major life changes have happened. I had a baby and we moved into our new house! So those two things have been keeping me extremely busy and I honestly haven't had time for much else. But I'm going to try and post fresh content on here at least weekly and see how this goes. I used to love what's in my bag videos on YouTube (I actually still do!) and the Louis Vuitton Neverfull has been my go-to bag since I had Alessia as it is big enough to throw everything into and I barely ever swap it for anything else anymore! 39 Weeks Pregnant

Bianca wanted to join me for this little photoshoot :) Here's another very basic yet comfy maternity outfit! I swear flip flops are my best friends right now as any kind of footwear that doesn't involve me bending over to get them on is a gift from God. I have been known to spend about 20 minutes trying to tie up some of my strappy sandals & buckles and we have actually run quite late on numerous occasions because of this problem! I bought this top after having Alessia as it's actually a nursing top and I wore it a lot last summer. This has also reminded me of the fact that I'm going to need to think about easy-access breastfeeding wear after the baby is born! I think a postpartum/nursing shopping trip may be in order...

So Much Pain :( | What I Ate Wednesday

Today's video got pretty emotional...let's just chalk it up to pregnancy hormones! Although I was in a lot of pain and I think everything just got a bit too much. I am absolutely fine though and since that moment where I had a little mini-breakdown (lol) I have definitely been scaling it back and taking it easier! I also think Jonathan would murder me if I didn't! Sometimes as mothers we think we're superwomen and can do it all...but realistically we can't and something's got to give. I need to keep telling myself that though as I am the worst person to take this advice!
