What's In My Hospital Bag? | 37 Weeks Pregnant

This week I filmed the highly requested and much anticipated hospital bag video! This also means that I am finally prepared in case I go into labour by myself in the next few weeks so poor Jonathan can relax a little bit ;) I do also need to pack a bag for the baby which is basically just a changing bag so when I do that I will be sure to share that with you too! Of course every labour & delivery is different but having done this three times already I consider myself to be pretty good at knowing what to pack and I know what I do & don't need to bring. The main thing you want to do is pack things that make YOU feel comfortable, at-home and confident. Don't listen to what other people tell you is right or wrong...do what works for you! I remember getting so much stick for packing makeup in my hospital bag...I was laughed at, told I was stupid, vain and that I would regret it. Well I can safely tell you that this girl packed makeup, hair products AND even a gradual tanning lotion in her hospital bag with zero regrets as they all helped make me feel normal. So just do what works for you and ignore the haters - at the end of the day it's YOUR bag, nobody else's!

Am I Overdoing It?

How about this heatwave?! Luckily these photos were taken a week ago when it wasn't quite so hot and I could still wear skinny jeans without melting into a puddle but today I am all about that maxi dress life with the fan on full blast as I lay on my bed looking like a beached whale! Now I understand why people say summer pregnancies are tough...my first was a summer pregnancy but we lived in Ireland and I can tell you that the temperatures are not like over here. It seems crazy because the UK & Ireland are so close to each other but ever since we moved here four years ago it's become obvious that there is a big difference when it comes to summer weather! I do really love the heat though so I am trying not to complain...but this massive bump and the fact that my belly is technically being used as an oven does make it hard sometimes!

Anyway, enough moaning...I've been trying to follow my doctor's orders this week an take it easy as he warned me I could be overdoing it (nothing to do with my pregnancy workouts, more so everything else on top of that!) which is most likely what has caused the pelvic & back pain. So far so good as I have noticed a positive difference from taking his advice!

How To Curl Short/Medium Hair with Straighteners

Today's video is a tutorial on how I've been styling my hair with a GHD or straightener ever since I got it cut short/medium length! This has been requested a lot lately and although it's nothing ground-breaking or new and I am far from a hair stylist, I suppose an updated hair routine was long overdue! So here it is, I hope I was able to explain myself properly. I really have no idea what I'm doing half the time...hahaha! I just do what works for me! I also should mention that my hair type is dry and very thick. I get balayage done to the front pieces & ends but other than that the root colour is my own natural one.
