This week's throwback is brought to you by some serious high-waisted jeans!! Here is the five year old me with my dad, nonna and two older brothers back when we lived in Florence, Italy. I look at this picture & my heart hurts from how much I miss my dad. This is exactly how I remember him. I feel sad but then I remember the beautiful gift I've been given of his little namesake, currently fast asleep upstairs...and I am so thankful. <3
I look like a messer here, kind of reminds me of another little girl I know...*cough* Emilia *cough*! Have a lovely Thursday guys...I hope you're all well. I am really excited to be spending this weekend with the other members of my family that aren't in this picture! My mum and two little sisters :)
I find your post really touching and I admire the way you express your feelings here. Thank you for sharing it with us. Have a nice weekend with your family! Don't forget to get sufficient amount of sleep :)

ReplyDeleteMy Dad wanted to have a son (and had three daughters), later he dreamt about a grandson (and had two granddaughters). Last year, four years after Dad's death, I gave birth to his first grandson.
ReplyDeleteI often think how happy Dad would be I he could meet Michael, my son.
What a beautiful picture!! Sending hugs and love your way :)
