Here are my March Favourites for 2012!
Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Wash Gel
I absolutely love this cleanser because it's so cheap yet it never breaks me out or irritates my skin. I used this about 3 years ago and had since moved onto more expensive products but I will always go back to this. My skin always seems to look its best when I use it and it's one of the products that I feel has "saved" my skin during pregnancy from all the breakouts!
Johnson's 24 Hour Moisture Body Lotion
I've been using this all over my body, wherever I don't need stretch mark prevention. It's super quick-drying and has a drop of oil in it for dryer areas so you can use it on your elbows, knees & feet too! I also don't need to wait for this to dry into my skin and can get dressed straight after applying.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula
Probably one of my favourite pregnancy products, I use this on my belly, lower back, hips, thighs, bum & boobs for stretch mark prevention and so far so good! I love the smell of this...it's one of those scents I never seem to get sick of. I use this whenever I shower in the mornings because it's quick-drying and doesn't stain or transfer onto clothing.
Fairhaven Health Dream Belly Butter
I wrote about this in my bump update too, but this is the product I've been using for night-time stretch mark prevention! It's a very thick formula which I wouldn't advise using before getting dressed because it does take a while to dry and soak into your body. I do love the richness of it and it's all-natural which is a huge bonus!
The Body Shop White Musk Summer Glow
I normally don't like to switch up my perfumes but lately I have been and this is definitely a spring/summer favourite! I'm not a fan of the original white musk but I did love White Musk Libertine for winter and now I'm so happy that they've brought out another scent! This is such a summery perfume with notes of lemon, sandalwood, musk & peony. I also really like the bottle -- yay for summer!
L'Oreal Nature Couleur Botanique Shampoo/Conditioner
I've been using this haircare range for the last couple of weeks and even though I'm not exactly maintaining colour in my hair I decided to give it a try. The conditioner doubles up as a rich mask and Jonathan says it's the best he's ever tried! He doesn't want to go back to the regular stuff after using this, ha ha ha :) It seems to have worked differently on him than on me, as he said it foamed up extremely well...maybe my hair is just too long & thick so I would need more product or something. This range has no parabens or silicone and is made with linseed oil.
The Body Shop Golden Pink Blush (04)
I actually got this way back in October/November, threw it in my handbag and forgot all about it -- until now! It's my absolute favourite blush of the moment as I've really been loving shimmers for spring/summer and it's a beautiful golden peachy/pink which gives your cheeks a pretty glow!
Sarah G Cosmetics Spring Palette Matte Bronzer
By far my favourite products out of the Sarah G palette is the matte bronzer. It's so pigmented, yet doesn't make my face look muddy when used as a contour and reminds me of Benefit's Hoola. It also suits my skin-tone which at the moment is pretty fair.
Sarah G Cosmetics Face & Body Glo in Golden Patina
If I could pick just one item from Sarah's range it would be this. I love it so much! It's the perfect all-over bronzer & shimmer, especially for the warmer months. I used to love Bonnebell's Blend 'n Glow but unfortunately you can't get it in Ireland -- however this reminds me of it a lot!
Here's how all these make-up products look on my skin:
What To Expect When You're Expecting
This book has been my must-have read for March as I got it from my husband on Mother's Day and have not been able to put it down since. It tells you everything you need to know, week by week during your pregnancy. You can pick it up and start reading wherever you want and you will always learn something! I really recommend it to any expecting mamas out there ;)
Layniebug Designs Hair Accessories
And finally, I have been absolutely loving these hair accessories from Layniebug Designs on Facebook! Melissa hand makes everything herself and they are beautifully crafted with top of the range materials. I especially love this nude & cream hairband, and I also wore one of the hair clips in a recent outfit post. They are the perfect accessory for spring! She also makes a whole range of different non snag hair-ties which look really pretty worn on the wrist as well. You can find Layniebug Designs on Facebook here and the items range from $2-$26.
So those were my favourites for March 2012! I hope you enjoyed -- let me know what yours were and if there's anything you think I should try out! :)
