Here is my *wearable* green look for St. Patrick's Day!
I really wanted to do a pretty make-up look involving greens that weren't bright, neon or garish because 1) I hate those colours on me and 2) I prefer my make-up to be a little more subtle, to compliment my features & face. So I used more flattering, wearable shades of green: khaki, forest green and a light spring gold-green! Here's a list of products used.
For the Face: The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Reviver
MAC Studio Moisture Tint in Medium
Maybelline SuperStay 24hr Concealer in 02
Benefit Get Even Powder in 03
Maybelline Expertwear Blush in 77 Rose
Benefit 10 Highlight on the cheekbones
For Eyes: MAC Photo Realism Quad
(this quad was from the MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics Fall '09 collection I believe, honestly you can use whatever eyeshadows you like -- just in the same shades!)
Photo Realism (white/gold) on browbone, inner corner & bottom lashline
Fresh Approach (light green) on lid
Image Maker (khaki green) in the crease
Grey Range (forest green) in outer v and outer 3rd of lower lashline
The Body Shop Kajal Eyeliner in 02 (forest green)
Eyeko Graffiti Eyeliner Pen on upper lashline
Covergirl Lashblast Volume mascara
For Lips: DuWop Venom Gloss in Buttercup
I hope you like this look! I also kind of realised when I posted these pictures just how similar it appears to my Spring Makeup Tutorial, even though I used totally different colours! Honestly I think it might be the filter I use in Photoshop so apologies for that...they really are quite different. Or maybe I just have a very samey technique...either way, this is what works for me & my eye shape -- I hope you don't mind! ;) Hopefully this will give you some inspiration on how to wear green, white & gold on Paddy's Day!
