I was recently sent two Butter London nail lacquers along with the Butter London Hardwear Topcoat by BeautyMatters.ie to review. I had never tried anything by Butter London before, but had heard many great things about the brand from other bloggers so I was really excited to try these out! The two nail lacquers I chose were Pink Ribbon and Saucy Jack.
Pink Ribbon is a classic French nude pink. It's a lot paler than I expected actually, more on the nude side than the ballet pink I was expecting but this was quite a pleasant surprise as it's different to the other "French" polishes I own. I really like the staying power on this one - I applied two coats along with the Hardwear Topcoat and it lasted for one week without chipping. Pretty impressive!
Saucy Jack is a dark blood red, perfect for autumn. At first I wasn't completely sold on this one because the formula is pretty thin and if you apply too little, it will look streaky. You need to coat your brush quite thickly to get a completely perfect streak-free finish. However, once I got the hang of the formula it grew on me as like with Pink Ribbon its long-lasting qualities are very impressive.
The Hardwear Topcoat is a definite favourite and has become a staple in my collection. It dries super fast and makes every application that much easier and I'm finished painting my nails in no time -- a big plus in my books! What I liked the most about the Butter London nail products is that they are easy to apply, quick drying and are not goopy or messy like some thicker polishes tend to be.
For us Irish girls, Butter London Nail Lacquers are conveniently available to buy online from BeautyMatters.ie at €13 a bottle. The Hardwear Topcoat is €17. Have you tried anything by Butter London before? What do you think of the products?
Stay Stylish!
