I've always wanted to do an Outfit of the Evening (as opposed to Outfit of the Day!) but being the boring old saps that my fiancé and I are, we hardly ever go out in the evenings really...we should do it more often but I don't know, it's easy to get "stuck" in the routine of just staying home watching TV and films together! So it takes a big event like my birthday to get us out of the rut and I finally have an outfit of the evening to bring to you.
This is a full body shot of the dress I wore in my Brigitte Bardot tutorial. I got it in spring 2009 from TK Maxx. It's by Urban Behaviour and is my absolute favourite style of dress to wear as it's super flattering! The only thing I don't like about it is that it's completely open at the back which makes finding the right bra tricky! I wanted to wear it without tights but unfortunately it's too cold in Ireland right now to go bare legged anymore. I had even gone to the effort of shaving my legs... *sigh* Ha ha ha!
For my birthday dinner we went to one of my favourite restaurants, Wagamama (Japanese noodle bar). Above are my sister Erika and me deciding on what to order!
The crazy person I'm marrying next year...
Our starter...delicious dumplings!
This was actually Jonathan's main course, chicken katsu curry! I forgot to photograph mine, which was yaki soba (a popular noodle dish, my favourite!).
And the highlight of the meal...dessert! I got vanilla ice-cream with cinnamon and seasonal berries. YUM!
I hope you all had a lovely evening, whether you went out or stayed in. Let me know what you thought of my outfit! I'm all cuddled up in my pink pj's right now and ready for some chamomile tea, then bed-time. I truly had the most perfect birthday and promise to do more outfit of the evening posts in future (just remind Jonathan to take me out more often...hahaha!)
Stay Stylish!
xoxo
