Last week I was very kindly sent some products from FYF (Flawless You Forever) Cosmetics. They were so nice and sent me four wonderful products. A great deal of thought went into the types of products they sent me, as I was very pleased to find that every colour/shade slotted right in with what I normally like to wear.
My favourite product by far is this Floral Blush in the shade "Autumn", which is a perfect colour for me! My usual favourite blush is a Kiko Dreams Blush in Soft Sand, which is a similar dark peach to this one. At first when I was told me I would be sent a Floral Blush my immediate reaction was, "oh no...that won't suit me at all!" I thought they meant floral as in floral colours like pastel shades and pinks! So I was very excited when I saw the name "Autumn" on the back, haha! I was initially impressed with the beautiful presentation of this product...how pretty does it look?! It reminds me of something by Lancome, but at a much more affordable price! I have been wearing Autumn on my cheeks for the past few days and have found that it is definitely long-lasting, it doesn't fade at all, and it is very pigmented. In other words, a little goes a long way. It matches my colouring perfectly, and gives a beautiful warm glow to the cheeks.
Price: $19/£12/€14
Another product I was happy to try was the Mineral Loose Powder foundation in 730 Medium. I recently made the switch from liquid foundation to mineral foundation (more on that in a future blog post!) as my skin wasn't doing so well and I had heard great things about Bare Minerals. It's become clear to me that mineral foundation suits my skin much better than liquid, as I have oily/combination skin and it has cleared up considerably over the last week. I do like the FYF foundation and this shade suits my skin very well. What I also like about this is that you get a LOT of product for the price you pay in comparison to a standard Bare Minerals foundation. However, for the meantime I'm going to stick to using my Bare Minerals just because I recently got the Get Started Kit.
Price: $28/£18/€21
I also got a Mineral Lipstick in the shade "Natalie", which is another firm favourite of mine and has become one of my staple lipsticks along with Rimmel Summer Angel. The shade is the perfect blend of nude beige and neutral pink. It's not too orangey like many nude beige lipsticks can be, yet it's not too pink either. I also love that it doesn't have any shimmer in it (this makes a nice change from Summer Angel), yet it's creamy and has quite a satin finish. Again this is long-lasting, especially teamed with the lipgloss I received.
Price: $18/£12/€13.50
Here is the Mineral Lipgloss in the shade "Adelina". I wore this over "Natalie" lipstick and they complimented each other well. I was impressed with the size of the lipgloss, as the tube is very big and you get a lot of product. This is the same price as the lipstick. "Adelina" is a peachy colour with gold sparkles in it. Perfect for autumn or someone with a warm colouring. I found the product to be equally long-lasting as it's quite sticky but not annoyingly so...a thin coat of this goes a long way and gives an added sparkle to your lips. I also adore the colour, as peach lipglosses tend to look best on me.
Price: $18/£12/€13.50
I had never heard of FYF Cosmetics before but I honestly can say that from what I've tried, their products are great quality and long-lasting. Their prices aren't super cheap, but they're not high-end either. I would say they are in the middle, yet fairly priced because of the amount of product you get. FYF are an American company but they ship worldwide, for free! :) I would happily recommend the brand and don't forget their products come in a whole range of different colours so even if you don't see a shade you like here, you can always check out the website for more suitable ones. I just happen to look better in warmer tones than cooler tones.
I hope my review was helpful for you guys, let me know what you think. And if you have used FYF products before, let me know your thoughts and experience with them as I'm always curious to know!
Stay Stylish!

ReplyDeleteHi girl,
ReplyDeleteI was just watching a youtube video of you, well i watched a lot of them.
But i just saw one about your new book and that you look for a fashion illustrator. That's such a coincidence because i'm an illustrator and i want to make more fashion illustrations! I look at the latest trends, combine them into a dreamy, sweet but also a little edgy illustration. I was wondering if you are still looking for an illustrator? If you want to see my work you can go to www.marjoleincaljouw.blogspot.com I draw a lot of girls, but also accesoires actually everything. I just read that you allready have 25 finalists, that's so sad! I hope you still just have a look...
If you like it i can make an illustration about you, your friend and the little cute dog. You can let it know on my blog of course.
